Kalalou and Cesar,
You seem to have such of short memory!
Last time I checked, daspora was the only one in the worlding carrying Haiti/Haitian people living in Haiti.
In 2003, Haitians had transfered a total of $800 million dollars to htier families back home, Haiti, which was 4 times Haiti's annual budget.
Everytime there is a natural catastrophy, the haitian diaspora is the one making sure that Haiti is still standing because the "Do Nothing" government doesn't get involved.
Please stop underestimating the contribution and the involvement of the haitian diaspora in their homeland, Haiti.
The hunny thing about it all, is that despite the determination and the resiliency of the haitian diaspora to carry their homeland, Haiti, Haitians people living in Haiti and the government still don't like the diaspora.
The are full of resentment, hatred, and disgust for the haitian diaspora.
The haitian diaspora is treated like dirt when traveling to Haiti.
They are treated like dogs when they go to a Haitian consulate to apply for a passport, or to get a service.
If anyone wants to see the level of humiliation Haitian citizens are enduring in the hands of their own government, go visit a Haitian consulate.
You will be so disgusting that you apply for your natiralized citizenship the very next day. The inhuman treatment and the humiliation in the hand of the Haitian government is some of the reasons why so many Haitians renounced their haitian nationality and become naturalized of another country.
