Tiba, I wish that I could dream with you, but as you must know by now, I'm a pragmatist; the evidence does not back your wishful thinking.

Here are the facts:

The majority of those left in Haiti don't even have a clue what a healthy nation should look like. The majority of those who do know are all over the rest of the world.

Those who could do something for Haiti are either too afraid or too comfortable.

Those who are in the position to do something now, Preval and his cronies, are gutter rats who don't even know the meaning of the word "nation." I believe the words for them are "san manman;" meaning people whose parents never thought them things like "honesty," "integrity," "honor," or even "hygiene."So, Haiti is dead; it's actually like a dead plant, that has nasty bugs destroying the little life that's left at the roots, killing the little that's left alive in it. By the time someone will get to what's left of it, it will be too late to save it. Sorry, Tiba, I really don't see what it is that is giving you hope--I'm a realist.
