So what is the point you folks are trying to make?

That he is not qualified?

Having observed this pragmatic, practical man in action, I can tell you he is an efficient manager comfortable with delegating authority.

Unlike most haitians politicians who suffer from "presidentitis",he is not a self centered demagogue or megalomaniac who thinks he has all the answers.

He surrounds himself with qualified advisors and he is willing and able to accept constructive criticism or advice.

Hopefully, the international community will put their money where their mouth is and provide him with the necessary financial backing to jump start the haitian economy.

Maybe haitians will stop the fratricide (you know, killing each other, keeping each other in slavery:restavek, ridiculous wages, etc.)and reduce the social inequities to allow security to be restored and investors to return.

Maybe one day, we'll understand what our ancestors did in 1804, then we'll stop living in the past, stop claiming a sovereignty we have not had for a long time, stop blaming the "blanc" and start putting our minds, hearts and hands together to repair the present, construct the future and recapture the pride that the warriors of 1804 gave their lives for. "Si Ayiti mouri se fôt tout ayisyen"
