It is a shame that in less than a week another school has to undergo the fate of similar poor construction codes.

It is indeed a sinister affair when lives of promissing young haitians are being lost due to the negligence, selfishness and blindness of government.

As a people, we have never had any binding laws which defended our legal and personal rights.

For years we have been oppressed and passively accepted everything as normative.

We have placed leaders in position for which they have little or no experience at all. As a result, we only have extortioners.

We speak of democracy, but a people who have never been educated about the subject matter, how can they embrace it wholeheartedly and defend it for what it's worth.

Because our people are left in ignorance of what their rights ought to be, so that they can be exploited, no one is interested in establishing structural laws as it concerns building construction.

Who these people can legally sue for this malpractice?

No one. There is none to defend their right.

Mr. President, you were elected to lead, therefore, the responsibility is upon your shoulders to give the country some direction.

We are only going in circles and that is dangerous, for circles have no end and that spells disaster.

How can we expect other nations to help us when we are not making any headway to achieve something in the arena of infrastructure?

Politically, we do one thing, fight one another and kill one another.

How can we move from where we are to something all of us can be proud of?

Give those of us who reside abroad an incentive to support national projects.

We are tired of the negativism.

Lead Mr. President, be bold and courageous.

May I remind you, if we are to ever get somewhere, the one at the helm must not be concerned about what his next position or status will be. Do what you have been elected to do without fear and trembling.
