Colette Jacques
You want me to be nice, patient, not so rough, being understanding, so on and so forth on the prime minister Michelle Pierre-Louis, right?
You said that administrating/governning is one step at the time thing, right?
Well, collette, it might be true that you and me are both from Haiti and we are both Haitians, but understand that were both have a very profound different understanding on how government(s) operate.
First of all, contrary to your understanding, governing is not a 7 steps program, a drug program, or any type of rehab program.
Governing a country is not like running a grocery store either, and I wish you could understand that.
Politics is a science.
It's either you have it or you don't. You really make me laugh by pointing out that "women are very sensitive human geings." And you know what I said, who cares that women are very sensitive human beings?
Colette, this is politics and it is nothing perosnal.
"If you can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen?"
We are talking here about the incompetence and the mediocrity of a government, the Haitian government, that is incapable to govern a country of 8 million people.
We are talking about the incompetence and the mediocrity of a government to create jobs and opportunities for its citizens and to better the life of its citizens.
We are talking about the incompetence and the mediocrity of a government to educate its citizens and provide health care to its citizens, etc..etc...
You are now calling on me to be patient after 204 years of the same. How long do you think the Haitian people should wait before the government come to their help?
Another year, another 5 years, or another 100 years?
Haven't you heard, in politics, one week is a very longtime?
A competent government with the know-how can accomplish wonders in just one week time. How long Michelle Pierre-Louis has been in power?
Colette, please, I am asking you to stop using all of these examples to get your point across because it sounds like you're teaching a psychology class 101 using Piaget's theory.
Like I said before and I am going to repeat it again, Michelle Pierre-Louis knew all along she was sick, she was not an healthy person therefore she should not have accepted the job in the first place knowing fully the demands and stress that come with governing a country.
The same goes for the drunk called Preval.
He knew he had prostate cancer he should not have run for president either.
Colette, it is not good for the country and it is not to the benefit of the country when its president/prime minister has to take time off for a long period of time due to health reasons.
Though, always understand this, the people and the nation do not have the time to wait nor to be patient for the government to come to their help. If Michelle Pierre-Louis is not up to the job then she needs to resign and let somebody else who can to take over, plain and simple.
This is politics and it is not a game, or 7 step program, nor a rehab program.
The people depend on the government for jobs, education, health care, etc. etc..
for their survival.
Remember that Preval has been in power since 2006, is there something that you can show to the world as one of his big accomplishments?
I think not!!!
