Dessalines movement of grandeur allow the dominicans to be free, and yet they have no respect for Haiti.
I am responding sadly to this issue, because haitians are faced with this situation of statelessness in many neighbouring countries such as Bahamas etc. You have just illustrate how one woman who fed up with this situation is making a difference, so we must do our part. Secondly, many of the Haitian government have benefited from this situation, it would be irresponsible to believe that they will do something unless we push hard for it. Recently in 2005-2006 under the defacto government, a Haitian consul in the Dominican Republic was involved in smuggling of Haitian migrant workers to the Dominican Republic, to this day, no one has asked a question or has he been prosecuted.
Ingerance, Ingerance, Ingerance, the time is now to make a difference.
