I am so glad that you commented on the class system issue in Haiti, like you, I was always curious about the class system we have in Haiti, I had always found it hard to believe that the same elites or mulattos who fought along side with blacks Haitians to liberate Haiti would be such a plague to the same country they help created.

This curiosity has lead me to do a lot of research on what happened and I found this:
Over 89 % percent of the people that make up the elites in Haiti are not of Haitian ancestry, those people are of Arab immigrants who first immigrate to Haiti in the late 1920s and early 1950s and late 1960s.

The first that came to the country were about 3000, mostly from Lebanon, Syria and other middle-eastern countries fleeing wars that was ravaging the region.

When they arrived in Haiti they had nothing but their clothes, they were quickly embraced by then the mulattos and since they have become very involved in business activities in the country.

Many of them, through their business activities, earned U.S citizenship and have no interest whatsoever in the welfare of Haiti.

They have been nothing but a burden to Haiti; they often lobby U.S policy towards Haiti.

That is the unfortunate truth, ``why would they have any patriotism sentiment toward Haiti?

`` ``why would they care about how the world sees Haiti?

``Why would they care about the masses of Haitian who are mostly blacks?

``why would they care, why on earth would they care about what Haiti will look like 10 or 20 years from now, what is it to them. If the worst happens to Haiti, they have either the U.S or they could simply go back to their roots.

So what. What do they have to lose?

Will their children live on Haitian Soil?

Were their grand grand parents a slave?

Were their grand parents contributed to Haiti's independence?

What is it to them?

This is the cold-hearted disturbing truth, brothers
Shame on them, shame on you Apaid, the Samir, the Mussas, Maixze, and the others.

They know who they are; they have been nothing, but a burden to the very country that gave them a second chance.

They are conspiring to put Haiti on its last breath, and the saddest part is our government is either ignorant or unable to do anything about it. They own most of our land, mostly through scams; they never paid a cent for those lands.

Whenever there is a government who seems to understand what is going on, they somewhat get that government out. And the saddest part is we knowingly or unknowingly conspiring with them. They control most of the media and everything else. Whoever seems to be a threat to them, they either gives him millions or simply get him of him. Just ask yourself why those people would rather buy tons of rice from the U.S, which the U.S mostly buys from china, than investing in agriculture throughout the country, we have the land. Just ask yourself what would it cost them to clean the place that they have their business?

Just ask yourself why is it that we never heard any of their companies supporting anything in Haiti, from healthcare, our soccer team, or school.

Have you ever heard their names doing those kind of stuff.

The only time you hear about them is when a coup-d`etat is to be done. What have they done for our country?

They have most of the countries money, what orphanage do they support, what school, just tell me. The list can go on and on and on. I have no respect, no sympathy for them; they are the true enemies of our republic.

They are cold blooded murderers, bandits, night hunters.

I know Preval is too meek of a man to do anything, but I know the day will come. It is now that I understand why Aristide said what he said about them, they have no respect for authority, no interests whatsoever in the welfare of the country.

I am so disgusted by them. They are a bunch of pigs, literally.

I am in no way suggesting violence, but whoever is going to govern Haiti will need to deal with them, rather they cooperate or they might as well face their fate. Who do they think they are, destroying the land of our ancestors, destroying the legacy of Toussaint Louverture and that of Jean Jacques Dessalines and that of Henry Christopher and the others?

How dare they. If I continue writing this I will get too emotional about it, I just hope this answer the question that many of you might have had, like why haven't they invested in Haiti's infrastructure?

Why haven't they tried to create more jobs for ordinary Haitian?

Why are they always in opposition to any government that favours taxes?

Why haven't they shared our patriotism sentiments on the reputation of Haiti throughout the world?
