I don't think that EDH will ever become efficient or profitable until it 1) is purged of all systemic attitudes towards corruption, 2) is able to attract a dedicated group of managers who are able to plan years into the future, 3) respects the people & culture of Haiti, 4) is able to raise the necessary "risk capital" to make dreams a reality and 5) is able to enjoy the support of the international financial community AS WELL AS the support of the government of Haiti and the thinking, forward-looking citizens of Haiti.

It would seem to me that the most important thing that is needed in Haiti are strong, socially responsible "for profit" organizations which are able to challenge the current enslavement of ordinary Haitians by the ruling families of Haiti.

Profit is not a dirty word of and by itself, reptilian exploitation is another matter.
