I want to be clear I am not promoting Préval, because, I have yet to understand what he is doing.

However, I can tell you of a few programs that are ongoing.They have a program called Program of Appeasement Social (PAS) intended to provide short term jobs to the areas most affected by unemployment.

Recently Jean Max Bellerive the Minister of Planification started some cleaning work in the area of Solino and Delmas, this falls under a program called Konbit Tèt Ansanm (KATA).

This program will creates 500 jobs for a period of six weeks.

On other front I know that they have started many agricultural programs in Petit Goave, Plateau Central etc. In addition, many small communities have the roads paved so far. On the security front I can not speak of that, because, everyone seems to think that the insecurity is in Cite Soleil, when in fact, despite the multitude of people, this is an imported phenomenon in the area. The area of Cite Soleil is believed to contain minerals that are in need by the International community, we all needs to be careful as to what we let the occupying forces do to the people and to the area.
