Hi Bob, this topic concerned almost all Haitians since we all want the juice.

Some cities outside of Port-au-Prince have a good supply of electricity sometimes when Edh is able to pay. The problem is that there is no law in Haiti that recognizes the existence of any private power generating company besides Edh (1971) so although Sogener is a public utility, it is essentially illegal on Haitian soil.
Furthermore, most well-minded Haitians wonder why pay a private company for electricity when the money could be used to privatize Edh or at least pay off Edh huge debt.
So Sogener is getting the cream of the crop litterally; something smells fishy about this deal!
Well we'll see
