Larry - I hope you don't feel that I am poking you in the eye and turn this into a personal attack on your person.

I know, sometimes, I come across that way, but I mean no harm and no insult either.

Haiti has more missionaries projects than the entire Caribbean put together.

With all of these "Non government Organizations" in Haiti, one would thing that life in Haiti is very good or is getting much better for the Haitian people, right?

Despite the crowding presence of missionaries and Non Government Organizations there are in Haiti, life in Haiti is just getting worse and worse every passing day. Life in Haiti, today Thursday March 26, is worse than it was yesterday Wednesday March 25.

Reasons, all of these foreign organizations are using the old Theology Theory Model, copying models from other countries, but worse they are all doing the same things, the "duplication theory" without engaging the local people.

Larry, I wish I could tell you or give you advice on the area, but unfortunately, I do not know Cerca Lasource, never been there before.

However, the local people know all about their town, and therefore, will be able to teach tell you all you need to know about the area in order to help them successfully.

Furthermore, I am not trying to discourage you in any form and shape nor that I want you to pack your bags and go somewhere else either.

All I am trying to do is to teach you a thing or 2 about Haiti even though it might not sound like that's what I am doing.

You will get tested big time by the local people and when that happens you'd need to know how to react.

One very important element you really need to know about Haitians, and especially those living in small towns and villages, is that they are very passive-aggressive.

You need to engage them in order to get their participation.

You need to put them in charge of their own project if you want to get somewhere.

Don't let them stand by and watch you doing it all before long you will regret that you have ever put foot in Haiti.

If you let them stand by to watch you doing everything, the mentality is, this is your project, this is your thing and they feel no need to be part of it.

You have to do with them if you really want to be successful.

This is why I keep pushing to step away from all the readings and copycats for a working alliance with the local people.

Oh, one other thing, do not make any promise you will not be able to keep, and try not to stretch yourself out too much either because they will hold you to that and will have no mercy on you if you fail to deliver.
