What is "The HAITIAN CONGRESS TO FORTIFY HAITI"?

With all due respect, that really sounds like a pig commercial.

I assume this Haitian Congress has been in existence for some time now, and yet, cannot take credit for one change in laws/government operation in Haiti.

Why should there be a Haitian Congress based in Chicago working on the issue of "Dual Citizenship?" Since when the Haitian government ever caved in to any Haitian citizen demands?

Since when the Haitian government ever listened to Haitian concerns?

Isn't true this dual citizenship issue has been talked about for a very longtime now?

One thing I know for sure, if the master would call on the mercenary government to give dual citizenship to all Haitians as condition to receive only $25,000 to build a bigger bar in the National Palace, it would be done in split of a second, anything for a buck or 2!

Preval would not even care about amending the constitution.

He would go straight to Tele-Haiti, to all the radio stations, half drunk, and by decree declares "dual citizenship" as law of the land.

Haitians shouldn't have to beg to keep their Haitian nationality if they so choose to in time of naturalization.

Not recognizing dual citizenship was put in Haiti's constitution as a well thought and calculated move to secure the seats and posts of those ignorant, moronic, shameful, no good, thieves, drug dealers, old brain dead, illiterate bastards.

These are the same people who keep getting elected over and over again.

They would disappear for awhile and reemerged only to get elected again.

This vicious cycle turns Haitian politics into a recycling program.

Too bad Haitians don't have the stomach to stand for the simplest principle.

Haitians would use ALL kind of excuses there are not to do this or not to do that because they don't really believe in anything.

If Haitian diaspora had the back bone, they would send a clear strong warning to the mercenary government by giving Preval and company 3 months to act on this very important issue or face a boycott.

We tell the government if in 3 months Haitians are not granted dual citizenship, the Haitian diaspora will stop all money transfers and all travel to Haiti.

Haiti cannot survive without the diaspora hard earned and the diaspora not traveling to Haiti.

It is said and well documented that the diaspora transfers an amount of $1 billion to relatives in Haiti every year.

That means Haiti's economy relies deeply and solely on the Diaspora to survive.

There is no tourist going to Haiti, so therefore, the government relies uniquely on the diaspora traveling to Haiti in order to stay afloat.

So, we, in the diaspora, have the power necessary to bring the government down to its knees begging for mercy.

Unfortunately, we don't know how to use the power that we have, but worse, we don't even know we have any power to bring change to our homeland at all.

We prefer wasting time forming a bunch of useless and nonsense organizations to brag about ourselves and make ourselves feel good.

If the cave man can use the resources to his disposal to get things done, why can't Haitian do the same thing?
