I do agree that haiti has faced institutional racism as blacks in the US have. Racism is nothing new minorities in all societies have had to deal with it. Despite institutional racism black people in the US are making great strides.

The biggest example is the election of Barack Obama.

Yes, Haiti has had to deal with institutional racism but that is not the sole reason why the country is in the deplorable state that it is. Our leaders are responsible, the population is also responsible for electing them. We have to whole ourselves responsible just as we denounce institutional racism.

Other minorities have found a way to overcome it why can't we. It's come down to us not having a capable leader.

There are so many political parties in Haiti but i don't think any of them have a defined ideology.

They are not organized.

As a nation we are in charge of our destiny, if we refuse to hold ourselves responsible nothing will ever change.

We cannot lay the blame solely on outsiders or institutional racism.
