Montresor addresses Haitian dominican relations

< Previous | Home | Next >

My fellow Haitians,

The speech that Preval gave on national radio to the Haitian people was insufficient.

I felt that this was handled wrong and that we do and have other options.

I find it very abnormal to treat this situation in the Dominican Republic as a private matter when in fact our Haitian citizen was brutally murdered as an entertainment event to the public.

These inhuman behaviors are unacceptable whether at home or in a foreign land, and as President of Haiti I will not tolerate anyone in Haiti or the Dominican Republic to cut off ones' body parts or the mass killings of my countrymen without consequences of justice from my government.

Change is eminent and all criminals should take heed to these warnings, because laws will be made and enforced.

No one will be allowed to take matters into their own hands.

You will have a government that you can be proud of, because your government will protect you whether in Haiti or abroad.

To the families that have been affected by these atrocities by the hands of the Dominican Republic, and by our fellow brothers at home due to political ambitions or misfit ideas of change.

I offer my condolences and deepest sympathies.

Don't forget that I do hear your cries and pleas for help, your voice is heard and will not be silenced, And in this I promise that things will change and that there will be a better Haiti so we can live and prosper together in peace.

God Bless!
