It's amazing nothing happened to you. So you suspected that Bennett could have possibly been involved in transporting drugs, yet you did nothing.
I'm not saying you should have put your life in danger by blowing the whistle but you should have at least disassociated yourself with this man from that moment.
I don't know if that's just plain naivete or that you have such an overwhelming desire to make money that you will do anything.
You should really be careful who you do business with and if at anytime you have the least suspicion that someone is unscrupulous you need to get away from them.
Haven't you ever heard the term guilty by association.
If I were you, I would count my blessings; I think you got a free pass.
