Gera I sort of jump the gun. But just because your parents might have treated their restavecs decently doesn't mean most people do that. I knew people who didn't sent their restavecs to school and they beat those kids worse than an animal.

The majority of Haitians do not treat restavecs right.

Most Haitians don't even know how to treat their own children right led along a restavec.

Of course there's going to be some exceptions but that does't mean these kids are not being abused.

The whole living arrangement is robbing these kids of their identity and dignity.
