Linda,
Sorry for not responding to your important question sooner.
The date went well and bad at the same time.
The good part - I had a wonderful time. She really has a lot to offer/contribute to a relationship.
There was a strong mutual attraction, She is a medical doctor.
She claimed to be very attracted to my intelligence and my broad view of the world blah, blah, blah.
The bad part - She wants to get married within a year and I panic big time because I don't do well with the "M" word. I took it as an "ultimatum" as if I have to behave well and prepare myself for soon I will be walking the aile. I've been there done that already, and I am retired from marriage for eternity.
I think of marriage as an "attrapment" and nothing else. It is too much pressure and there won't be a second date.
Now, about my age, do you really think that Zac and I may be in the same age range?
Don't you worry because I am not going to tell you my age but I am going to give you a few hints and you'll figure it out on your own since the word on the streets claim you to be a mathematician genius (smile).
Let me start by saying that I was born in the era when dating in Haiti was an absolute no no. The era when a man "ap chire 12 pe soulye devan pot kay yon fanm" and even when the woman loves you she still would not say yes to the man. The era when dating was an absolute secrecy.
This was the era when we used what was called "Titalbe", which was a kind of magic (priye) to get girls to like you quicker.
We were speaking French all over the place to show off to the girls by saying things like: "La premiere fois que'j t'ai vu une boule the glace (ice) fond dans ma gorge", "Mon pere est tailleur (taylor) et ma mere a une petite boutique au bas du marche" etc..
etc...
It was the period when there was plenty to eat for almost no money at all. For example "10 kob" (less then 10 cents) could give you breakfast to go to school.
I would buy 5 kob casave with 5 kob pistache griye on the way to school and I was good to go. That slice of casava (kasab la) was so big that it fits the geography book and therefore we called it (that piece of casava) "geography.
This the time I knew growing up in Haiti, I don't think Zac knows that Haiti, so you see Zac can't be any closer to my age. So now you can put all of this data together to fugure my age out.
