Its an interesting poem but your mention of Thomas Jefferson is strange as he was a slave holder same as George Washington! As a matter of fact you could count on you fingers and toes the number of non racists in the United States before 1950! I am serious.

I attended a segerated school and graduated in 1962 one year ahead of the senior class being intergrated! You need to put Sept. 11th in the context of history.

How does it compare with the inqisition when thousands of protestants were killed by Catholics or the war in Ireland between the Catholics and Protestants?

How does it compare to the destruction of Iraq and now Afghanistan caused by U.S. invasion forces.

I am writing this 9:45p.m. Sunday night and if you go now to New York Times (www.nytimes.com) you will find on the front page of the online edition a warning that if U.S. stays in afghanistan they could end up being defeated just like Russia was there which means a lot more killed than were killed on 9-11. Instead of condeming the act ask WHY did it happen and read the book Terrorism WHY America is the Target by Dr.M.T.Mehdi!!!!
