I understand what you are trying to say however, you have the wrong idea. Immigrants legal or illegal are not welcomec to the Bahamas.

They have a hard time trying to deal with the immigrants there already.

I suggest that you cease from mentioning the island that you did for the sole reason as it may bring bad news for our Haitian brothers and sisters who live there.

There was a raid some weeks ago and many were arrested in boxer shorts and night gowns and were not even permtted to get proper clothing.

There was a fire recently where 39 people lost their make up homes.

The Bahamas government wants all nationals to enter the country legally and there are steps that can be taken to ensure that they do. Haitians just love taking short cuts, they will pay three thousand dollars to go on a boat and enter a country illegally yet many doo not make it safely.

I have attended numerous funeral services for those lost at sea. If you really love your compatriots please tell them to refrain from hopping on a boat to try and make it else where.

If anything let them to ask for sponsors.

Besides please do not believe everything that you see on television it is not a true depiction of the country.

Haiti is not the poorest country in the western hemisphere, Nicaragua is.
