Mr. Trebu I will do my best and express my opposing views respectfully.
But you must understand that I'm not one of those individuals who blindly ascribe to the false ideology that Haiti is a free, independent state.
To me a country is free and independent when it can provide the most basic services to its citizens.
At present, we have the UN providing security and it is the international community that is financially supporting the country.
So don't tell me that the State Department, the UN or the OAS don't have the right to tell us what to do. They do because they pay the bill. When we learn to govern ourselves in civility and take care our own people independently then we can tell them to shut up. Now if we could just step out this delusion of grandeur, if we could stop stomping our little feet on the ground like immature children, stop throwing a tantrum and get in touch with reality then maybe in a decade or two we might really be a free prosperous country.
Until then we will continue to be the laughing stock of the world, a bunch negroes who fought for freedom but who have never been freed.
What an irony?
Now that international investors seems to be interested in the country shouldn't be time for us to be flip flopping and changing government.
Investors like stability not unpredictability and chaos.
Haitians should be working with the international community to pull the country from the gutter that it's in not pounding our fists on our chests like a bunch of ignorant gorillas claiming independence.
