It's been 10 years since I was fired from "FOOD FOR THE POOR." The recent earthquake in Haiti shook my unfortunate memories of then a less than charity.

I was terminated from Food For The Poor having been labeled an undesirable employee.

This truth was! I didn't believe in "CENTERING PRAYER." I was a middle donor caller and brought in nearly 1 MILLION dollars in 4 years with the Charity.

I'm now a retired disabled veteran living in Sturgis, South Dakota.

The last year of my employment the dirt began to fly concerning Ferdy, (founder of Food For The Poor).

Most of us in the call center were in total shack.

We couldn't believe this small man's sexual exploits were so out of control.

As bad as that was. Even worse! Was the fact that employees were being railroaded left and right.

Food For The Poor was coming up with every excuse possible to dump disgruntled employees.

In the end, I was among several employees to be ushered out of the building for no rhyme or reason.

EMBARRASSING! Hell yes it was! I had given my heart and soul to Food For The Poor and they dumped be along the side of the road like some starving child in Haiti.

In the months to follow I obtained a lawyer and sued the Charity claiming religious discriminated.

I was offered a $5,000 settlement and refused it wanted to be re-positioned back into my old job. When that didn't work Food For The Poor's high powered attorney's (led by attorney David price still with the charity) put the final screws to me.
Their legal team found an old law on the books declaring a religious organization couldn't be sued for religious discrimination.

This was the basis of my lawsuit since I didn't believe in "CENTERING PRAYER." Food For The Poor required all its employee's to practice centering prayer in meetings at the charity during that time.
Food Foor The Poor allowed me to draw unemployment furthering proving their guilt in railroading me out of the charity.

I'm no longer bitter but feel bad for those of us who were screwed by Food For The Poor in 2000. It took me several years to financially recover from their underhanded tactics.

For the nearly 1 MILLION DOLLARS in donations I raised for them, Food For the Poor could have treated me with some respect.

Over the years I've told people not to give to the charity still feeling very distrustful of the charity.

The staff received huge salaries and bonuses during my employment which could have been used to feed the poor of the world.

"A tiger doesn't change its strips!" I'm sure Food For The Poor hasn't changed there's either.

FOOD FOR THE POOR ISN'T THE ONLY CHARITY IN AMERICA!
