First of all i want to express my deepest condolences for what your country is suffering right now.

I am Dominican, i live in the capital, Santo Domingo.

I know that this is a very difficult moment for Haiti, but at the same time could be an opportunity to rebuild the whole thing from scratch.

In our side of the island we keep on been pressured by the international community (specially the EU) because of the treatment we give to the Haitians (very similar to the one we receive in other countries), but we keep on been here trying to help as we can.

Our countries have a very difficult history that prevents some times that we could see you as a good neighbor, at the same time our people is very ignorant about history of Haiti.

Must of the Haitians we meet here are un-educated people, that added to our own ignorance is a difficulty that we have to overcome.

Our politicians in both sides are the ones which really prevents both countries real independence, because they are interested in having a lot of ignorant people easy t be handled.

Difficult times are coming for both countries, i hope for the best.

Note: I am worried about my compadre Richard Canez which i appreciate very much and i have not had any news about him.
