Haitians in Super Bowl 44: Making us Proud!
Stanley Lucas: www.solutionshaiti.blogspot.com

One of the biggest sporting events of the year, has several Haitian-Americans making us proud.

No matter who wins tonight -- it's clear that these NFL players have been dedicated to making a difference for their country.

Here's a summary of the players in tonight's game:

For the Colts, Pierre Garcon (wide receiver) has rallied the Hoosier state into providing big support to Haiti.

He's also been doing some work in Little Haiti in Miami, where the Super Bowl is being held this year. He said after winning the AFC Championship that he just wanted to give Haitians "something to smile about".

For the Saints, Pierre Thomas (running back) and Jonathan Vilma (line backer) have also leveraged their profiles to raise money and support for Haiti.

Vilma accompanied Garcon on a visit to schools in Little Haiti -- hearing from the children about the losses they suffered in the quake -- and has been selling t-shirts for the Super Bowl with all proceeds going to Haiti charities.
