Truer words were never spoken, Linda, that was a very revealing post. It is exactly for that reason that I'm very skeptical about the UN and the international community role's in Haiti.

I hope the Haitian government and Haitians in Haiti come to their senses and start collaborating with the Haitian diaspora to develop the country as oppose to placing their faith in the UN and the international community.

I don't understand why Haitians are always so willing to trust whites when white countries have systematically hurt Haiti.

Foreigners will never love or care about the country the way we Haitians can. It's time we start living up to our creed,"l'union fait la force".

I've always loved Haiti and I for one have chosen to commit my life to help Haiti and I believe despite the challenges, despite the obstacles, despite foreigners who are trying to make an example out of us. Foreign powers who wants to prove that blacks are incapable.

Despite all that I believe we will succeed.

Haitians are strongest people I know and we will overcome everything.
