I just listened to our Presidential Adviser, Patrick Ellie, and our Prime Minister, Jean-Max Bellerive, give their opinion on the rebuilding of our nation.

It was a puzzling moment in time for me, because I could not figure out how with such intelligent men at his side Preval had so screwed up his job of running the country.

Actually, I could not figure out how these two very progressive, intelligent people could possibly work with someone as incompetent as Preval.

Perhaps I am judging these guys wrong.

Maybe what the say does not really represent who they are, but I was indeed impressed by them. I would like for someone to tell me that I am wrong and that these two guys just really know how to put on a good show and tell, but that in reality they suck. Otherwise, someone explain to me how the Haitian government can be so incredibly incompetent when, in fact, it has what seems to be two very intelligent men at its helm.
