You have it totally wrong and you do not even have a point.

It seems that you read or head something but you do not understand anything.

What is your point?

"Voodoo is a culture force and a catalyst ...

for what?

FOR DECEPTION?

FOR DIVISION?

FOR DESTRUCTION?

FOR DEATH?

FOR CONFUSION?

You left out the very important word that could give meaning to your title or your idea.
By leaving out the most important word that would give weight to your idea, you create more confusion for the reader; thus making your entire post as confused as you are and worst: very boring.

There are many similarities between Christianity and Haitian Voodoo but they are not the same.
1. They both recognize ONLY ONE GOD who is the God Creator.

The only God Creator may have different names in both. But He is the same God Creator of everything in existence.

In Haiti, they call Him "Bondye" (or Bon Dieu) for "Good God".

The Christians called Him "Father".

The Voodoyizan called him "Papa Guede".

He is in both religions "The Supreme Being".

The Haitian Voodoo may slightly differ in other regions such as in Dominican Republic, Cuba, United States, etc ...

But it is practically the same Voodoo.

It was originally brought in from Africa.

2. Both religions recognize intermediary beings (also know as spirits) between human beings and the God. In Christianity, they call them angels.

In Voodoo, they call them "loua" or "lwa".

Please note that in Christianity, all the angels work in total harmony and in total submission to the divine law and to the kingship of God. In Christianity, the angels of God never fight against each other or to harm human beings.

But, in Voodoo, the "loua" or "lwa" often fight each other and they often hurt and harm human beings who are not directly assigned to them. Therefore in Christianity, the "loua" or the "lwa" are also known as demons.

In Christianity, the intercessor between human beings and God is a priest or a pastor.

Jesus Christ is the higher priest in Christianity seating at the right hand of the Father.

He is also known as the Savior, or the Redeemer.

The Voodoo priest is known as a houngan.

Voodoo does not have a higher known priest because the voodoo priests often fight and destroy each other for supremacy and power.

But, the Devil is interchangeably taken as a higher priest and/or a god. There is the area of confusion and chaos because here the Devil constantly tries to maintain supremacy over the "loua" or "law" and among his priests or houngans.

But this fight never ends.

Because of the nonexistence of harmony among the lwa and among the voodoo priests, Voodoo may take any form, shape or derivative name in different places according to which Voodoo spirit is in charge in a given region or place.

3. Voodoo practitioners can not have access to the true God because, the Devil as a powerful being in the VooDoo religion will always intercept and is fully controlling this access - so that all glory goes to him.

4. In the contrary, Jesus Christ - as the Savior of all human beings - is the way to the Father, God. The Lwa (spirits), the hougans, the devil himself have absolutely no power over the Christians - those are in Jesus Christ.

That's the privilege of the Christians.

More than 90% of Haitians are Christians with a majority of Roman Catholics.

Haiti is essentially a Christian Nation.

After the January Earthquake that destroyed a huge part of Port-Au-Prince, even in the mist of their misery, during the three days of prayers and fasting, the Haitians were chanting:

"Jesus deja pase!"
"Haiti pou Christ, Christ Pou Haiti".

Observers and experts believe that the profound faith of the Haitians People in Jesus Christ is the foundation of the new wave of change and hope for Haiti in 2010.

History demonstrate that people who have solid faith soon achieve their liberation and deliverance from bondage.

This has happened before in prior to 1804.
