I did not equate Ayisian language with poverty.

Let be clear about that. I said that we Haitians must strengthen, beautify the Ayisyen language by adding the academic vocabulary and technical words etc in it. "I Pik English, I Pik French, I Pik Spanish" but my true language where I really feel Comfortable with is Ayisyen.

Regarding foreign languages, yes powerful outsider could impose their languages in a short period of time to another country.

Case in point is India, Nigeria where they speaks so many languages and regional dialects.

Haiti is different we speak Ayisyen only. A Capois, Cayenne, Jacmelien, Por-Au-Princecien et...speak identical Ayisyen except for the Capois who speak Ayisyen with a slight regional accent and have a few different words that don't match with our standard language.

However, that does not mean that the foreign powers will not try to impose their language to Haiti if it is expedient for them to do so. They will use the carrot and the stick and other operant conditioning methods.

Refers to B. F. Skinner.

The best remedy is: We should not allow the French, the American and other to impose their culture on us. They want to build academic school, technical school etc that fine. We should made it clear to them that the Ayisyen language, the Voodoo, the Haitian Music, the Haitian literature, the Haitian pride, the Haitian ethics and aesthetics are not negotiable or for sale.
