Patrick, u r obviously one of the new Haitians who have no idea of the respect that Haiti had all over the world prior to the 1990s.

This "stinking" country like u call it was not a "stinking" country until the 1990s, until Aristide and Preval took over. When u have leaders, like those two, who have no self respect or dignity, no social grace or manners, no sense of nationalism, no pride, no knowledge of history, no morals whats so ever, then u get the type of failed state we have today.

Haitians do not need to imitate the white man; in particular since when we say the white man we mean white Americans.

Do we really want to imitate a country that is coming apart at all social levels.

America is only a few years older than Haiti.

Yet, althoug it did not have all the embargoes and the racist policies that Haiti had thrown against it, today, that country is in a freefall, which will completely destroy it socially if not economically.

The greed and the racist social structure of white America is not something we Haitians should imitate.

There are various countries around the world, including African and Asian countries, that are very prosperous and are not white.

Why would we ever want to follow a failed example like the US.
