Rare, but there still exists some thinking people on this site. Dr. Feel Bad had some very good points from his answer to me. I disagree on few points.

Duvalier specifically targeted the Mulattoes as they represent opposition and everybody else that could be an opposition.

He used Michiavelli system divide and conquer.

He added some African notions to give his system a local flavor.

What you have described as business carelessness is growing pain for new Haitian business owners.

Most Haitian business people do not have a degree in business administration.

Most learned business by osmosis from parents or friends.

Good business skills are learned in a systematic way. Those skills along with ethics, negotiations, product/service orientation, customer care are not yet part of Haitian business owners repertoire.

This is one of the reason that most Haitian businesses rarely catered to non-Haitian customers.

I am new on this site, Yet somebody is using my name to promote homosexuality and the usual grab bags of Haitian divisiveness.

Those are probably people who don't want change.

There are people like those for they can function only where there is chaos.

Again it explains somewhat partially why Haiti is in so much trouble today.

Most people on this blog have nothing to say except to repeat and re-repeat a one liner topic.

Topics are often empty, meaningless or coarse.

Your analysis of land distribution is good but simple.

If land redistribution were possible, parcel would have been too small for real farming.

Haitians tend to have very big families and land redistribution would be problematic as these children often are not from same mother and same father...thus making land ownership impossible.

I am in agreement with you though that discrimination on the basis of race or color is meaningless.

Circumstances dictate who is discriminating against whom.
