Dear Adhbriz,
Frankly, I have lost touch with the situation on the terrain.

When I say 'Chime", I include not only the Aristide's die hard followers, but also all those who take advantage of the situation to plunge our country into more and more destruction.

You probably are much better informed than I am about the current situation.

One thing I know is that we must stop the sources of violence, whatever they are; which includes, of course, the lavalas "chime" who are much noisier than any other group.

They may even be working for the "Acrahs" now, who enjoy and have been financing turmoils for years in order to unload their cars from the port without paying taxes.

I know where those people come from. Look what is happening in the middle east now. It is the same mentality: "All rights for me, nothing for you because God wants it to be so" WHen they are no longer religious, they believe they are superior and should be making all the money.

Talk to some Africans from different countries, they'll tell you it is the same thing in their home countries.

These guys would come and take slowly but surely over the business sector, fool and rape your daughters, and create all kinds of tricks to steal whatever they want.
It is an Arabic mentality.

What should we do?

They are not so many. With an effective power in place, we can keep them under control.

We can invite them to join a greater movement of civilization and development.

Since they already have the edge financially, they should understand that if the country is violence free, the tourism sector would flourish, and they would be the big beneficiaries because they own major hotels and equipments: The Nadals control the artisanry, which would be as profitable as it was before; and so on.
The great author Frank Etienne, whom I call the talentuous complicator of the Creole language, said in a speech in NJ last year: " Those guys would rather rent a $200,000 plane to fly them to Florida as soon as they have a headache instead of building a good hospital in the metropolitan area".

If they dont like the country, why don't they live?

- They won't because we allow them anything because of their lighter skin color.

We Haitians suffer perhaps from an inferiority complex.

Time to get over it and get rid of all enemies to our development, whether black, white, mulattoes, syro-libanese, and what have you.
Aristide, had he been smart, had the power and the public support to start taking care of the problem, but he failed us piteously.

That's why I hate that SOB.
Now Preval, despite his good will, will either be poisoned (by aristide's spies or the nomenklatura to whom his discipline misfits ), assassined, or used as a puppet (like he did under Aristide).

The good man out of him won't have a chance to shine.

There are so many crises in the world right now, no one will come to help. The US, France, etc are busy with the Mid-East.

Haiti, the former pearl, will keep going towards its own destruction.

We have to take care of ourselves as the first Independent Black Republic in the world.

And this is what I am talking about: PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT
