I welcome your politics 101 lesson, very well said! you should form some political classes for Preval and all of his brain dead cronies.

While you elaborated a lot on "ideology" of a political party, you forgot one other crutial element of a political party, and that is "philosophy." No political party can run only on ideology away from philosophy and expect to live and be successful, and vice-versa.

Ideology and philosophy constitute a well balance of any political party otherwise the message of the party will definitely get lost in the translation.

Furthermore, once a political party is formed and running, there is no democracy within the party because members cannot speak freely anyway they want to. They must all speak with consistency on behalf of the party that is centered around the party's ideology and philosophy.

For example, if education is the center focus/goal of the party, no member can really amphesis much on having the rich pay taxes during a press conference or during an interview, etc. etc...
