Nobody that I know is aware of Baker criticizing Rene Preval.

He may have made some comments about his present administration.

This is perfectly legal and moral.

I don't know Baker's family tree. But Baker himself admitted that he was born in Haiti, Delmas to exact, lombrik li entere en ba yon pye zaboka.

fanmi li haiti depi 1841.
Baker is NATIF NATAL HAITIAN.

Perhaps his color bothers you. He already said himself that li se yon Haitian po lanve.

I have to guess that you are not from Port-au-Prince or even Jacmel because there are lots of Haitians who look like Baker in those two places.

Yes, we do have Haitians who look like Baker.

They are as Haitians as rice and beans.

The color of anybody's skin should not prevent him or her to become President of any country; and especially Haiti.

Did you know that it was the mixed-blood Haitians who have started the Haitian War of Independence?

Without them Haiti might not have existed today?

This is not to minimizing the work of important Heroes like Toussaint Louverture, Dessalines but facts are facts.

Criticizing someone color is not cool. We are in modern time now. We live in a global village -- The world.

If Mixed-blood people are being discriminated against in Haiti, the rest of the World will not be very happy.

Haiti is already considered a Racist Country by other nations.

What can happen is that Haiti will be ostracized even more by other country countries.

Haitians are considered very "difficult and strange" people already in the World.

Let us not add one more reason to show up-our weirdness.

In any part of the World, NO ONE WANTS TO BE CONSIDERED A RACIST.

Diversity is in, Racism is out.
With diversity comes EQUALITY and JUSTICE.

Haiti's past History class and color is taken into consideration.

Most Nations would have gotten over it. In so many ways, Haiti too has gotten over it. But some individuals will not let it go because of political reasons.

They do not think they can win office WITHOUT criticizing OLD EVIL.
May it be 206 years old or older.

That others have been in power and are still in power.

Nope, Divide and conquer is the only political strategic planning that so far has been the staple of Haiti's political platform.

Consequently, our youth do not know anything else.
On that Basis alone, Charlito could make great strides for Haiti.

Look, you can vote for whomever you want. This is not my point.

My point is Charlito represents a breath of fresh air, something good and new. With him, there is hope for change.

A man with dignity who can make Haiti move to greener pastures.

You do not like him, this is your choice.

BUT, let it NOT be on the BASIS OF COLOR and parental lineage.

Because nobody picks the family they are born into. You have no choice over the family you were born into. It is what it is. Nobody deserves to be made ashamed because of family lineage.

THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG and there are no two ways about it.
Frankly, this is old hat and tres passe.

Il faut que ca change pour le mieux.
