Ananymous,

You said a lot that I am well familiar with but no specifics as usual.

Furthermore there is a lot of ambiguity in your piece that kinda buffles me as well. In one hand you against big government and therefore you will reduce the size of government, but on the other hand you mentioned of creating a lot of government agencies that will oversee and create jobs.

Throughout your piece, you never detailed how the new government is going to generate revenues to provide services to the people.

You will collect taxes on products and service?

Last time I checked Haitia did not have a taxation system.

The government would look at a little merchant and impose a tax, let say of 2 gourdes.

It sounds to me the government youre going to be part part of is going to impose very high taxes on rpoducts and service that will keep the economy idle and put the little guys out of business for good.

The way the government currently collects taxes on products and services is pure "rip off and stealing" is that the system you will continue to use?

Furthermore, we all know that creating a good and just tax system in Haiti is going to take a lifetime to implement, in the meantime, how will the government survive, on charity and begging from the international community all over again?

There is one thing that I agree with you on 150%, the dismentaling of the Haitian bureaucracy.

Everything you said sounds good, but it is a reflexion of the US system which will never work in Haiti because we have been using since independence and look where it got us.

To be successful, I think the new government must reflect the Haitian values and principle, the Haitian culture and beliefs.

Let allow us to be Haitians for a change and I guarantee you Haiti will get off the life support.

Also, I hope the new government will finally treat Haitians with respect and treat them as first class citizens and not like reject and garbage and that alone will make the biggest difference in Haiti.
