Reforming the military?

- I am not really sure what a military force can do for Haiti.

Are we going to war against the Dominican Republic?

- They would annihilate us in one day with their helicopters.

We don't need a military force unless it is one that would be involved in construction, in disaster relief, in "reboisement".

What we need is peace and peace never comes without a good police force.

What we need is a government that can set the criteria for a national dialogue, a government that will make the bourgeoisie feel no fear to invest its money where it made in -> in their own country instead of Miami;
a government that will say: " Hey poor people, we know you're hungry, we know you need everything, but we're working on it (and be serious about really working on it).

Don't disturb the commerce by your stupid "manifestations", do not break car windows, do everything pacificly and in restricted areas".

We need a government that will say: " Since we have no oil, tourism is a priority, let's transform La Gonave, La Tortue, L'ile A Vache, Montrouis".

We have so many wonderful places: Jacmel and its antique look, Cayes with its poetic rumour from the sea, Cap with its riches of culture and history, etc.
Education too is a primary objective at all levels (radio, flyers, community meetins, universities, etc)
We cannot allow ignorance (from the violent crew from SiteSoley-filip-tousen-vagabon) and stupid greed from bourgeois like Ackra to mess up the future of 10 million people.

We have to make it work. Let's form a council of reconciliation and truth like the one Mandela created in S. Africa;
Let us talk and agree and disagree and find a common ground.

We can find it. Yes we can. Si se puede!
