Trust me when I say "Mental Well-being" is as important, if not even more important, than being given a piece of bread or a spoon of rice and beans.

This is why during 9/11 and many school shootings here in US, psychologists were called in immidiately to provide some therapeutic intervention to the school faculty, staff, and the students.

During the earthquake in Haiti, the US embassy in Port-au-Prince brought in psycholgists immidiately to provide therapeutic intervention to all its employees.

After experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event of such magnitude, if people don't get therapeutic intervention immidiately, they could be doomed to live a productive life free of nightmares, flashbacks.

This is one of the reasons why people turn to alcohol, drugs and all kind of distructive habits as a way to cope with life situations.
