Petrus,

You don't need to be president to built a memorial park, you will need some money though.

Everyone has a non-profit these days, who knows maybe you can form a club and figure out how much it would cost and raise funds, it may not happen now but surely sometime in your lifetime, it may be the legacy you left behind.

at this point I give up on the haitian political class, i had the unfortunate luck of knowing and working with many of them and for the most part they just don't worry about the people.

they just worry about their own economic self interest.

none of them understand the concept of serving the people.

they don't spend time to analyze how can they use the international aid to benefit the people rather they worry how it can benefit them.

at this point it's regular Haitians who have to form their own investment clubs among friends and family and try to create and finance social businesses in Haiti.

if 20 people get together and put 5,000 each that's 100,000, 40 people that's 200,000 you can establish a nice school, or a small food processing factory even a small clothing factory that pay decent wages and make affordable clothes targeting Haitian consumers.

anyways the point is I think like obama said "we are who we have been waiting for" we are the one to change the country! just my 2 cents
