You are absolutely right, there are different types of leaders and charismatic leadership is one of them. Charisma is essential for a great leader.
It was not by accident that the Kennedy boys or even William J. Clinton were great leaders.
They were exceptional orators with an uncontested presence; Those attributes alone draw crowds...
Titide knows his people inside and out. He knew well how to verbalize concepts that made the people understand that he was talking directly to them, not at them. Aristide was also a priest and we are programmed from birth to obey the Church.
He is a prototype of what the masses can identify with. Yes, Titide was having some trouble tying up the Haitian populace with the elites, got frustrated with them and basically gave the populace carte blanche...Those issues are as old as Haiti itself.
No one president CAN change them in a relatively short period of time. To think so, would be very naive and irresponsible of us.
