Stevens Benoit's Amendment For The End Of The Haitian Parliamentary System

< Previous | Home | Next >

Stevens Benoit's last constitutional amendment should be a great step forward to end the parliamentary prime minister model that has failed Haiti for the past 26 years.

Duvalierist Dr. Louis Roy had given to Haiti a very bad form of governance for living in France for many years and the system has failed us. In the New World, most of the countries adopt a presidentialism system with a vice president and many things work in those countries.

Haiti needs to return to its presidentialism system with a vice president for a better management of the public sector.

In the Arab world, the United States is calling for a presidentialism system to avoid Haiti's chaos with its European parliamentary system and why not asking that same system for Haiti?

We need to end the current Duvalierism system with Dr. Louis Roy's model as borrowed from the European countries.

We need to have a vice president for an economic social cohesion in Haiti like in Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Columbia, Panama, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Belize and the United States to name a few. We should call for this constitutional amendment to end the Duvalierist system with INITE/LAVALAS.

We can not move forward if we have to continue on this path for the Duvalierism has failed Haiti for the past 56 years and we should end it now. First thing Micky should do is to end the parliament and call for new legislative elections if they refuse to vote on important subjects to move Haiti forward.

The constitution allows him to do so and he can call for a new Congress system with a presidentialistic system to end the European model.

Now, the Duvalierists are returning in block under a new name INITE/LAVALAS and Haiti will not move forward.

We, in the Diaspora, have our say and we must call for those reforms ok.
