Let us clean Haiti

< Previous | Home | Next >

Hi, I am very concern about how Haitian is threaten Haiti, it's like we have that beautiful house with some antique furnitures that have a lot of importance financially, but in our ignorances we do not care for this house, we don't really know the value of those furnitures.

When we go to other people's houses we are surprise is like we never see such nice furniture before.

Seeing our behavior the stranger in their well taking care house regards us as if we were nothing they call us name, the stigmatize us(haitian santi, haitian se bet, haitian pa konn sak bon).

we feel shame but not enough to go back home and clean our mess. we rather stick around and take the shame, while we have a house more beautiful than theirs furniture more valuable than what they have. If only we could realize what we have then we will become proud owner of a beautiful house that is Haiti.

I think it is time that Haitian who knows teach the one who don't know about the value of our country we have a beautiful country, with beautiful natural places, we have a beautiful history, we are a beautiful people, we are just in ignorance but ignorance is not "sot" we need to start teaching our people of the value of our heritage.

we need to stop, stop destroy our home, stop urinating everywhere, stop turning our roads our corners into a bathroom.stop using our places as garbage bin, stop trowing garbages everywhere in the road. Haiti is the only, only place in the Caribbean where people can ease their body everywhere they feel like. Growing up my mother always say that Haitian proverb (kote ou manje ou pa kaka la)but seem as trough is not every Haitian knows it because it is exactly what they are doing.

Let us teach our people how to clean our home. we need to teach Haitian to love Haiti, they need to learn that where ever they can go, Haiti is still home, it's my home it is yours it is our home. wherever you are you never feel at home until you are in Haiti, dirty as it can be, smelly as it is, poor as it is, it is home. it can be clean we are the one the only one responsible for the state of our Home today.

we all Haitian need to start the cleaning process. Most country of the Caribbean their principal source of economics is tourism.

we are not different we can use our beautiful island we have things to offer to the tourist, Haiti can be sell we have thing to offer don't you think that people all over the world would like to came see the black country independent?

but can you invite people to your house while you yourself don't want to stay in it because the hygiene state of it, I don't think so. we need to start we need to start now, now is the time to start to clean Haiti.

There is no better way to do so is by educating our people by demonstrating to our people how others are taking care of their home, we need to appeal to the educated Haitian to do their part by starting a campaign not a politic one a cleaning campaign, a educative campaign where we will teach our people our brothers ours sisters, our children! who do not know even the one who do know but tend to forget to remind them the value of our country, the value of what we have and what we can accomplish with it if well taking care of. we need to appeal to the Haitian who can help to start the help now. don't it break your heart when you see how clean how beautiful our neighbor in the Caribbean Houses are?

We can do the same we are not the nastiest one. we are not the animal they think we are?

we are not the poorest one we are just ignorant, if properly educate, if properly equip we Haitian we can clean I mean clean our mess, clean our home make our country, our Haiti what it was destiny to be since 1804 it is not too late, we may be late but better late than ever. we are destiny to be a proud people an example for all, we need not to forget our history we need not to forget where we come from, we need to know where we are going and where we are going is towards development.

we are not going backward, we are not stopping where we now, we don't like what we see, we don't like what we are hearing, we need to change it, we need to change our ways we need to come together as a nation we need to accept our mistake, we need to visualize our future we need to take a step we need a clean home, clean antique furniture with knowledgeable people who know the importance of what they have and who care about it. we need to start now let 'us start cleaning our home stop pretending that the people them country is ours let'us start now. Let's clean Haiti if we don't who will?
