Haiti a country I have loved without knowing it.

hi, my name is helen peguero.

i went to haiti for the first time on april.

it was a dream i had since i coud not go when i was 10 due to pigs fever.

i truly thought that i was going to find a desolated country.

you know without trees or any forest at all. now i know why there arent many trees.

there is not enough land to plant.

it is all mountains.

i loved it. i love the food, the people, the places.

i visited obleon and had a very very nice time. it was very impresive to see the real haiti.

not the one we as dominican think it is, not the one painted by other nations.

i really enjoyed and saw the differences ! and especially how the haitians there are somehow differents to the ones here. people are very educated (even the poorest) simple but good. i really loved seen no haitian pictures but lots of different artesany.

lots of art that is not found here. it is a great country! i was not scared i saw everything even the guns. i really want to go back and visit my friends.

please keep taking care of that beautiful part of the island.

someday if we all talk about its beauty people will start visiting and it will become a great touristical place.

it has a great potential.

i will keep talking of its beauty, let´s all do it together after all we are one big family.
