Hi Max, I agree with you that the international community has been very busy trying to annihilate us. But what needs to be looked at is that this is still one group of people trying to outsmart another.

If you read the history of many other nations, what the west has done to us they have also done to most other none white nations, and before that to each other.

The bottom line is that international politics is about a battle of wits. Who is smarter--in a very non-honest way. Being slick politically is good for the country if your goal is to do what's good for the country.

Sly intelligence can help either neutralizes outsiders or makes them see the benefits of working for your country not against it. Smart leadership is not really about strength it's about cunning.

Another way to look at it is that a leader has to be slicker, more cunning, more conniving, more manipulative than those outside forces.

As much of a maniacal killer as Duvalier pere was, one can say that he knew how to play the international community.

Another example that I like to give my students was Assad of Syria, who always said yes to the Americans and than turned around and did exactly what he wanted to. When caught he would than exclaim how sorry he was and again promise to get it right next time. The man played like that with the American government during his whole reign.

This was a simplistic and broad picture of how he did this, but you get my drift.

It can be done. How we get out of this is not about the international community...it's about our leadership abilities.
