Hi Marie;
That is basically the same thing as saying that he did nothing.
You have simply said it in a nicer way. If you look at my very old blogs from last year, you will see that there was a time that I was as kind and patient with the president as you are now. I simply got tired of waiting for him to do something, anything.
What you are saying about his inaction about our people and the DR is also true of his inaction regarding the AIDS issue.
As I said in my last few blogs, it is not that I expected miracles from the man. I have simply stop accepting his complete impotency.
You were kind and said that you "cannot say that...he has ot done anything." Now I want you to think, and come up with one thing that he has actually done. Now remember, this needs to be something concrete that HE has done. Don't say security because foreign forces have done that. But anything else is acceptable.
For example, you could say that we now see consistent improvement in the electricity situation, or you could say that there's been infrastructural work done that may not provide great results right now, but clearly is starting to reduce the unemployment rate. You could also say something like "under Preval nothing much was done internally, but the man knew how to handle the international community...look how he defended our people with the AIDS issue or with the DR." Another thing you could say is "under Preval, our educational system met the needs of our people." Anyway, you get my gist. Unless you can think of something solid, don't keep making excuses for why the man is impotent.
If Preval was working for any company and performed as poorly as he has with Haiti, he would have been fired a long time ago.
