I think what you are trying to do is commendable, even though I disagree with you on not involving the President.

But this is your initiative and so I will do it your way. I am not in the country, but I will call from the US if it will help. I will also send an email to my mother who has just return to live in Haiti.

I will send an email to the many friends I have in Haiti, and I will tell my students about it. However, I am not sure what your goal is with the calls.

Please help me understand what you are shooting for--your ultimate goal; that way I can explain it to others.

Again, thanks for what you are trying to do. Wouldn't it be nice if the government had as much initiative as you do.
