The president seems to lacks foresight.

Neglecting the Vodou sector because of possible pressures from an international party sets a very bad precedent.

It basically tells the rest of the international community that as soon as a strong power is against a national group, or against something that might be good for the nation, the president will give in to that supper power.

Giving that line of reasoning, there is no end to what the international community might demand, and the amount of times that the president will cave-in under pressure.

This is not good foreign policy.

This simply shows that the president, or whomever is helping him make these type of decisions, was unable to think creatively enough to come up with a different solution than that of completely caving-in to the will of individual international pressures.
