Ed, I'm not sure if your post was a reply to my last one on this subject, but if it was than it seems that my previous post had already answered your question, "where are you coming from?" I get that you are an avid Preval supporter, but if that was meant to be a rhetorical question and an insult addressed to me than it's misplaced.

First, you might be new to the blog and might not be aware that I can never be baited into a nasty argument, so that type of attack is waisted on me. Second, nasty jabs are also misplaced on this blog because most of the bloggers here are trying to seriously discuss the issues with honest opinions-- sarcasm only wastes time and emotions.

Let me add that you seem to be seriously misinformed about the status of Haitians in today's international community.

Yes, there was a time that Haiti was respected around the world, but that has not been true since the early 1990s.Your statement that Haiti is "admired and has the respect of many nations the world over" could only have come from someone who has not travel much in recent years; so it seems to me that the only advice that might help you is to suggest that you try to travel more so that you might experience first hand how un-provable your statement really is.
