Count the Bourgois out: They do not have enough!

The bourgeois which means middle class, not wealthy, in real French have nothing more to give. Some are barely surviving in Haiti.

Those who has invested in banks in other countries 20 years ago have a little something to retire on. Those who had built a house 20 or 30 years ago can still maintain their property and financial level.

But a lot of bourgois still have to pay money with interest on loans they had acquired to build a home. Without a lot of dollars coming in, some have lost their homes, others had borrowed so much money against their homes to afford their children an education in the US or Canada that they have lost their homes when they could no longer afford to make the payments.

Others lost out on the interest payments on their investments and savings when their money was frozen in US banks for a few years during the US embargo.

I know one family friend who was waiting for the USA to release her funds so she can afford to have a liver transplant have died. There are investment opportunities that are offered in various countries of the continent such as Japan, Dubai, Soudi Arabia and Suisse banks.

Your money can be safe and tax free in Cayman island banks (british offshore banks).

One can travel with up to 10thousand dollars in cash. I do not recommend this because too many things can go wrong.

But if you do not wish to have a paper trail, that would be one way to open a bank account in another country.

After that you can mail them your deposits, money orders are nice, but the US is trying to find ways to regulate them travelers checks is another way to travel with lots of cash sort of speak.

The real state market fluctuates too much in the USA and there is a big stock market crash predicted.

Index funds not CD's are the way to go these days. Your money is guarantied up to 50thousand dollars in US banks last I heard.

Anything more than that is fair game. Unless you placed 50thousand in different banks.

Its Haiti's government that has to do something about the economy, the cost of living, and create jobs for the populace.

Soup kitchens or cantinas would be a temporary measure to assist the poor, while the economy gets healthier.

They cannot just sit there talking crap while people are eating mud, and children are prostituting themselves.

They also need to start raiding the houses in the bidonvilles for weapons and drugs to keep the criminals in check.

A few preemptive strikes are necessary in a place teeming with criminals.

The government can open temporary job centers where people can go and get a one day job. A lot of cleaning projects can be done this way. Minor criminals can get a sentence to community services, that would get them to pick up all the trash and clean up the place for free.
