Polygraph examination is also known as Psychophysiological Detection of Deception (PDD), is a scientific test that collects physiological data from a person with the purpose of detecting reactions associated with dishonesty.

At least three systems activities in the human body are recorded with an instrument during a polygraph test. Respiratory, electrodermal or "sweat gland", and cardiovascular.

Polygraph mostly used by the Government, Law Enforcement to eliminate and resolve pending problems and concerns.

As an investigative aide, it is a substantial element in Police recruitment process, to remedy distrust, ulterior motives and all involves.
