SHUT THE HELL UP! THERE IS NOTHING MORE DANGEROUS THAN A FOOL WHO THINKS HE KNOWS IT ALL." MONSIEUR JE SAIS ..JE SAIS TOUT..JE SAIS DEJA!! NONE OF THE PAST DICTATORSHIPS HAVE WORKED AND HAITI IS THE POOREST COUNTRY IN THE ANERICAS.

I am tired of hearing it. Check the archives on this blog for THE LIST of some of the 40,000 thousand people who perished under Duvalier.

Do some reading on Haitian History.

DEMOCRACY is the most successful type of government all over the world along with a laissez faire economic system and government guaranties.

The era of the strong African chief for life is over. Democracy works when most of the people of that country follow the rule of law. (specially its government).

**ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT OF HAITI** 1.THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY:
The National Assembly of Haiti constitutes the legislative branch of the Haitian
government.

The Assembly is bicameral, the upper house being the Senate of Haiti
and the lower house being the Chamber of Deputies of Haiti.

Meetings of the National
Assembly are presided over by the President of the Senate, with the President of the Chamber of Deputies assisting.

2.THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH: The President and Prime Minister
The President of Haiti is the head of state of the Republic of Haiti.

The President gets help from the Prime Minister,
The President is the Chief of the Government, he can make treaties and he is also the official head of the military.

René Préval, took office in 2006, but he had previously served as president from 1996 to 2001. Since Préval has met the two-term limit as stipulated in the Haitian constitution, a new president is expected to take office on February 7, 2011.
3.JUDICIAL BRANCH
The legal system of Haiti is based on the Roman civil law system.

Haiti accepts
compulsory jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice.

There is
a Supreme Court (Cour de Cassation), assisted by local and civil courts at
a communal level.

The judicial branch of government rule the court system.

CORRUPTION:
"Political corruption is a common problem in Haiti.

The country has consistently ranked as one of the most
corrupt nations according to the Corruption Perceptions Index,
a measure of perceived political corruption.

In 2006, Haiti was
ranked as the most corrupt nation out of the 163 that were surveyed for
the Index.

The International Red Cross reported that Haiti was 155th out of 159
countries in a similar survey of corrupt countries".
