There are too many criminals in Haiti who are waiting in the wings for that position.

They are all willing to commit murder for it. They know that they would never be able to earn all those millions and millions of dollars on their own. So they want to remain in power so they can continue to pillage the country.

After all, thats the only way "Yon Neg Sot" who was raised in a one room mud hut can get a pretty educated bourgoise like Aristide and Preval.

( Although inn Preval's case his father was given a job in Africa under Duvalier).
