Dear Ricardo, Haiti does not need the DR to heal. What she needs is a government that cares about her and her people.

We cannot partner with anyone right now because we have sunken so low that anyone we partner with will see us as only a charity case and will want to further discriminate against our people and our national integrity.

Haitians need an honest and intelligent leader, who will surround himself with an honest and intelligent government.

Work can then begin at an internal level.

The government can then honestly start looking at how to pull our own resources together for growth and maybe even prosperity.

Only after all of our own resources have been restructured and activated will really know what we need and don't need from the outside community.

Questions such as, can the land still grow enough food to feed its own people and maybe export should be answered.

Can we reforest our own nation?

What are the viable technological advances that will benefit our nation?

Which ones will be harmful?

Does Haiti really have a natural resource under its surface?

If so, how do we negotiate with outside contractors to work on it, while still protecting the national interest?

None of these questions can be answered honestly with the fake and corrupt government we now have in office.

Partnering with any other nation, including the DR, from the point of weakness where we are now can only result in more humiliation and harm coming to the nation.
